I am an artist and educator. I retired on my birthday in January in 2009 after 35 years as a Special Education Teacher. I hold both a Bachelor of Science as well as a Masters Degree from Bridgewater State University and am certified in both Special Education and Art. During my last 10 years of teaching I was able to integrate art as an alternate form of assessment for students while co-teaching high school biology.
I am an established Paper Cut Artist with years of representations in both galleries and museums. Many of my designs incorporate a littoral iconography taken mostly from nature that reflects my coastal residency.

During the summer of 2009 I studied white-line woodcut
printing with Bill Evaul in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
White-line printing or Provincetown Print as it is known was created in 1915 at Provincetown by B.J.O. Nordfeldt. I have embraced this medium as a complement to my paper cutting. I have found this colorful medium a graceful way to interpret both New England as well as New Mexico of which I have been a regular visitor since 1974.
Here are some of the events that I managed to participate in during my 25 years of teaching in the Dennis-Yarmouth School System on Cape Cod and 10 years at Old Rochester Regional High School in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts.
